Responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating, managing, and evaluating the activities of a manufacturing group to achieve performance objectives for safety, quality, efficiency, utilization, schedule attainment, productivity, housekeeping, employee relations, and total cost/budget responsibilities as measured by pre-determined key performance indicators (KPI).
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
1.Manages and provides leadership for direct reports and business employees.
2.Implements and/or assists in required training programs.
3.Manages all controllable cost factors in trackline and vehicle components manufacturing areas.
4.Plans and organizes workload and staffing over all shifts, utilizing proper equipment selections and materials in order to meet or exceed customer requirements.

MRB sessions to disposition defective material and provide corrective action.
7.Chairs weekly barrier meetings and ensures barriers are resolved in a timely manner.
8.Manages daily operations using Operating System guidelines.
9.Participates in all facets of the total quality system i.e., goal tracking, visual board audits and updates, budget development and review, people development, goal development, barrier identification and elimination, goal and objective achievement.
10.Manage and control cost and ship products on time.
11.Lead process improvement initiatives in areas of responsibility and ensure quality requirements are met.
12.Other duties and projects as assigned.
13.Effectively and efficiently utilize that part of the Division's Strategic Architecture for which responsibility lie i.e. TQM, SPD Operating System, Core Values.
14.Responsibility of a signature
Required Skills and Education
Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (typically Engineering, Production
Management, or Business Administration); or an equivalent combination of
education and experience plus 11 years relevant experience, including 3 years
supervisory/management experience; or a Master's degree and 9 years
experience.
1. Require experience
specifically in such areas as machining, heat treat, forging,
etc.
2.Ability to resolve
technical, financial and operational challenges.
3.Ability to
communicate at all levels of the organization.
4.Ability to use the
computer and various software programs.
5.Manages all aspects
of the manufacturing business. Provides
leadership and acts as customer point of contact for business
challenges.
6. Knowledge of
general manufacturing processes such as machining, welding, fabrications,
assembly and finishing.
7. General
understanding of SPC and MRP.
8. Knowledge of
blueprint reading and interpretation, safety management techniques, routings,
process sheets, work instructions, labor reports, quality statistics, inventory
monitoring, standards interpretation, quality management metrics/tools, capacity
requirements planning (CRP), and key performance indicators; ability to utilize
computer systems for inquiry and data manipulation
required;.
9. Advanced knowledge
of functional area and relevant principles and practices.
10. Ability to
identify, define, interpret, and develop new and creative solutions to solve
complex problems. Solutions are often
innovative.
11. Ability to
coordinate or lead others in accomplishing work
activities.
12. Ability to
establish performance standards for employees and contract
personnel.
13. Ability to
determine appropriate methods and procedures.
14. Ability to
develop and manage budgets.
15. Good planning,
time management and organization skills. Ability to prioritize work and
multitask.
16. Ability to
explain relevant concepts to personnel unacquainted with processes and
requirements.
17. Ability to make
persuasive presentations to high level customers, and management.
Preferred Skills and Education
Preferred Skills: 1. Lean 6S & Six Sigma Training
2. Demonstrated and proven track record in cost savings initiatives
3. Manufacturing Engineering/Industrial Engineering background
4. Experience in union environment
5. Certain positions may require a specific degree or prefer a Master's degree. Prefer experience with relevant applications in a defense environment.
6. Certain positions may require specialized knowledge, skills, and abilities.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
