The Safety/Quality Manager is responsible for implementing and maintaining the customer's safety and quality programs.
This role involves developing safety protocols, conducting regular safety audits, and ensuring compliance with all federal and state regulations regarding workplace safety and environmental protection.
Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and oversee safety and quality assurance programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
Provide training and education to staff on safety protocols and quality standards.
Investigate accidents or incidents to determine causes and propose measures to prevent future occurrences.
Liaise with regulatory agencies and internal stakeholders regarding safety and environmental compliance matters.
Develop and maintain documentation related to safety procedures, training records, and incident reports.
Monitor the effectiveness of safety and quality programs and make recommendations for improvements.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in safety or quality assurance roles, preferably in a facility operations context.
Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or similar certification is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local safety regulations and standards.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and training skills.
Proficiency in safety management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
