Summary:
The Deposit Operations Representative I is responsible for assisting with the administrative support aspects of Deposit Operations to provide high quality service support for the Branch Representatives and their customers in an efficient and effective manner which is in compliance with Bank policy and all applicable laws and regulations.

Responsibilities:
Assists, as assigned, with the administrative support aspects of Deposit Operations including:
check processing; verification of new accounts into the Bank's deposit system; checking of all customer account maintenance entered by CSRs for accuracy and generating of any required confirmation to the customer; processing of incoming and outgoing return items; ACH processing and the completion of forms in accordance with regulations and internal procedures; processing of research requests received from Branch Representatives directly serving customers; conducting maintenance on all teller work (transactions); and conducting maintenance on any unposted items from previous day's work; processing and balancing of merchant capture transactions; printing of daily loan, time deposit, safe deposit box, NSF and correction notices; processing and submittal of all daily work at the end of the day; processing of wire transfers; and customer deposit account statement process.
Provides consistently the highest quality of internal customer service possible to the Branch Representatives (internal customers).
Ensures that information entered into the Deposit System is accurate, complete and punctual.
Assists branch deposit personnel (internal customers) and sometimes external deposit customers with inquiries pertaining to deposit related issues.
Performs job responsibilities with an understanding of the importance of and in compliance with applicable Bank policies, procedures and processes, as well as applicable external laws and regulations.
Follows all dual control procedures required to maintain internal controls in performing assigned duties, specifically as it relates to capturing daily work, bank wires and setting up new accounts.
Performs reconciliations of assigned general ledger accounts and checks reconciliations performed by other personnel as assigned.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education Required:
HS Degree or equivalent and formal training Courses in bank deposit operations (Sponsored by ABA, BAI or equivalent).
Experience Required:
5
years administrative/operational support experience.
Having this experience in direct and indirect customer support on the deposit side of a Bank is preferred.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
In depth knowledge of banking and core deposit products, banking systems, and applicable technologies, as well as all BSA and other regulatory compliance requirements associated with job responsibilities; Strong ability to use the Bank's deposit operations system and adapting to any changes to same; Strong people interaction, organization, administrative, time management, multitasking and both verbal; and written communication skills; Strong customer service skills to support the efforts of Branch Representatives (internal customers) who are serving external deposit customers; and Strong P/C skills for communication and data entry purposes, as well as ten-key and other office equipment skills.
Key Business Relationships:
Interacts internally with the Loan and Deposit Operations Manager, Deposit Operations Manager, other staff of the Loan and Deposit Operations Department, Senior Managers and deposit support employees in the branches (internal customers).
May interact externally with customers, Federal Reserve and vendors.

It is very important to emphasize that the person performing the responsibilities assigned to this position works with confidential customer information, and only is to access such on a need to know basis.
Also, such information never should be released to a third party without the specific authorization of a Senior Manager.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
